Greetings, intrepid explorers! I'm Lex, a man of diverse talents and interests. Whether I'm immersing myself in design and crafting, celebrating my inner nerd, cherishing moments as a father and spouse, or donning my hat as a professional zombie hunter, life never has a dull moment. When I'm not warding off the undead, my sanctuary - the workshop, becomes a hub of creativity where designs take shape, ideas sprout wings, and wonders come to life. And If by chance I'm not there, I'm most likely lost in the embrace of nature or wandering the globe, rekindling my spirit.
I don't Play by the Book
I'm a proud child of the 80s, raised by the wisdom of Yoda and the coolness of Peter Venkman. My alignment is chaotic good, which means I'm always up for a challenge and believe in doing the right thing, even if it's not always by the book. From comics to video games, from sci-fi to fantasy, I love all things geeky and nerdy. But my passion for design is what truly sets me apart.
Generalist, One-Man Army, Teamplayer and Immersive Experience Extraordinaire
I'm always seeking new experiences and love to travel the world, see new locations, meet new people, and learn new cultures. As a gamer, a dreamer, and a never-ending learner, I love to immerse myself in projects as much as I enjoy immersing myself in well-executed entertainment. I'm a generalist and a one-man design army, writing concepts for live events and immersive experiences, video- and boardgames, and executing the planning and design of interactive entertainment. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty - I enjoy building sets & props, designing lighting, sounds, and special effects to create a truly immersive experience.
Making the Impossible Possible
Give me a proper time and a budget, and I'll build you the most amazing experience all by myself. If there's something I can't do, I'll either learn it or know the right person for the job. I'm equally comfortable working alone or with a team of skillful and motivated members, whether as a leader or as part of the team. As the founder and creative director of Nexus Exit Escape Room, I am a pioneer in the German escape room business and have ever since been an innovation driver in immersion and storytelling. I find it tempting to make the seemingly impossible possible, and I consult for everything related to immersion, design, experience, story, and games. I'm an autodidact who never stops learning, and I'm proud to have consulted for some of the biggest companies in the German entertainment business.
